Who We Are
1. A means of connection; a link or tie:
2. A connected series or group.
3. The core or center:
Nexus Church believes we exist to help people develop a real meshing of spiritual truths and service to others into our daily living. Nexus Church wants to radically seeks to expand the boundaries of God's grace to include those who have been excluded from other church settings. We have a lot of people who believe that Jesus' meant it when he said for all to come to Him. Nexus church welcomes you in the same way Jesus welcomed those who were considered "the least, the last and the lost." No matter where you are on your life’s journey, you are truly welcome to come as you are to Nexus- gay, straight, married, divorced, single, questioning, agnostic, true believer, Republican, Democrat.
Open & Affirming- We Reject No One
Jesus didn't turn people away. We don't either. Following the example of Jesus Christ, Nexus Church declares itself to be an Open and Affirming Church, embracing diversity in our congregation and community, and affirming the dignity and worth of every person created in the image of God. Nexus Church declares that discrimination is incompatible with Christ's Gospel of unconditional love and, therefore, welcomes all to share in the life and leadership, ministry and fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilities and blessings of participation in our congregation with no regard to race, language, age, gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, economic or marital status, or faith background. Nexus Church affirms and celebrates all loving and committed relationships.
Nexus Church began in 2006 with the vision of a dedicated team of church plant leaders. The vision was to start a church that would offer a truly progressive Christian voice in the southwest Ohio area. "Nexus" was chosen as the name because of its symbolism with connecting and convergence - bringing a variety of people, each with their unique gifts and graces, into a diverse and spiritually vibrant community.
